All material on this web site, including, without limitation: photographs, artwork, graphics, articles, etc. are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws, both as individual works and as a collection, and are COPYRIGHTED by Jerry Search, and the actual photographer or author ("Contributor") if other than Jerry Search.  ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

Photographs and artwork may be downloaded for private, personal use only, i.e.: screen savers, slide shows, etc.  None may be used for any other purpose without prior consent from Jerry Search (and the Contributor).

Certain text and accompanying photos may be used with said permission for educational (coaching) purposes, including other web pages, provided that name credit is given to the Contributor.

Permission is not required for school study (research) projects, etc.  Please just give reference to www.socalspeedskating.org in return for such use.

NOTE 2:
Please do not remove the copyright statements from pictures you download.  I thought long and hard before adding them.  I finally decided to do so after a friend pointed out that after the picture is passed around, from one computer to another, the photographer's identity will be lost, and should stay with the picture.  I have tried, in most cases and as I develop skills in doing this, to add the copyright statement in such a way as to not distract from the photograph.  If you want to use a photograph, but feel the copyright is too visible, please let me know and I will try to re-do it for you with a less noticeable text.  Thank You!!

In the future, I plan to publish here special pictures and artwork with the intent that they be used (for free) for local speed skating promotional purposes, such as club advertising, competition programs, etc.

PURPOSE: The purpose for my web page is to inform and educate both the non-skating public, as well as current and past skaters, about the sport of speed skating. This page is not for the purpose of making a profit, indeed, when I do add a few advertisers, I will be lucky if I can cover my expenses.
Note:  For what it's worth, the Bont link ("ad") at the bottom of my main page is a freebie to the Bont Family in return for the many considerations they have given me and my skaters over the past 14 years!  Besides, I do endorse their skates :-)

ADVERTISING: Advertising will not be accepted for my web page.  A few ads will certainly appear here, but only to help pay the cost of running this site (it's not cheap!). The advertisers will, in most cases, be companies in the speed skating family that I have done business with over the years and honestly endorse.  No "outside" commercial product advertising will be accepted.

RELEASES:  Releases, some verbal, some written, have been obtained for many of the skaters appearing in the pictures on my web page, however it is not possible to contact everybody. If any person appearing in any of these pictures does not want his/her picture on this web page, please contact me and I will remove the picture immediately and without question
